Ventures and Initiatives
Practical work built around real problems
The Vigilance Initiative Group develops and operates ventures of its own and works selectively with founders, businesses and partners where our experience can make a material difference.
Our work is not confined to one sector. What matters is whether the problem is genuine, the proposed solution is useful and there is a credible path from idea to sustainable operation.
From sound ideas to working ventures
TVIG does not publish an idea merely because it is interesting. The work shown here has progressed far enough to justify structured development, practical testing or active operation. Its status is stated plainly.
Active initiative
Vigil
Vigil is a managed DMARC and domain-authentication platform and service. It helps service providers and businesses understand who is sending email using their domains, identify authentication gaps and move towards stronger DMARC enforcement without disrupting legitimate mail.
The platform brings together DMARC aggregate-report processing, sending-source identification, SPF and DKIM evidence, domain-authentication visibility and guided policy progression.
Vigil is deliberately focused on domain and email authentication. It is not a spam filter, phishing filter or complete email-security suite.

In Development
Property Development Sales Platform
TVIG is developing an integrated platform and operating model for property developers that market and sell their own developments.
The work brings together development marketing, lead capture, buyer engagement, sales progression and structured hand-off into established legal and bond-origination processes. The aim is to reduce fragmentation, improve visibility and help suitable enquiries progress towards bankable sales with less unnecessary friction.
The proposition, operating process and required integrations are currently being defined and tested. A public product name and final commercial model will follow only when that work is sufficiently mature.
Practical support where it can change the outcome
TVIG is developing a selective venture-support and advisory capability for South African founders, startups and smaller businesses. Some good ideas stall because the people behind them cannot reasonably cover strategy, technology, commercial design, operating processes and implementation on their own. In suitable cases, TVIG can help connect those pieces and move the work forward. Support may include:
- Testing and clarifying the underlying problem.
- Defining the audience, proposition and commercial model.
- Making practical technology and platform decisions.
- Designing operating processes and controls.
- Planning a realistic route to market.
- Providing hands-on implementation support.
- Bringing in appropriate specialist expertise where required.
This is not a venture-capital fund, generic incubator, automatic entry programme or source of free consulting. We work selectively, agree a sensible role and remain direct about feasibility, risk and commercial reality.
What makes an initiative worth pursuing?
Not every idea should become a venture. Before TVIG commits meaningful time or resources, we look for a sound basis to proceed.
Principles
A Real Problem
The work must address a genuine market, operational or human need—not novelty for its own sake.
A Useful Outcome
It must be clear who benefits and how the proposed venture materially improves the current position.
A Credible Route to Delivery
The technology, people, partnerships and operating processes required must be achievable.
Commercial Sustainability
The venture needs a realistic way to fund, deliver and maintain its work over time.
Responsible Execution
Risk, governance, privacy, security and real-world consequences must be considered from the start.
A Meaningful TVIG Contribution
TVIG must be able to add more than a name or a set of opinions. Our involvement should materially improve the likelihood of a sound result.
Deliberate about what comes next
TVIG will continue to examine opportunities in different sectors, including technology enablement, digital trust and practical business infrastructure.
Early concepts remain internal until the problem, intended audience, delivery model and reason for TVIG's involvement are credible enough to discuss publicly. This keeps the focus on work that can create real value rather than a long list of speculative ideas.
Have something worth examining?
If you are building a venture, addressing a difficult operating problem or considering a partnership with TVIG, send us enough context to understand the opportunity, the work already done and the main obstacle you are facing.
We will give you a straight view of whether there is a sensible fit and what the next step should be.
